Idioms are fun. It's when you take words and turn them into something that, individually, wouldn't make any sense. Like, "It's raining cats and dogs," for example, does not literally mean that there are cats and dogs pouring from the sky. I mean, that would be cute, but also kind of terrifying. Can you imagine how many people would be killed by a 30-lb beagle falling from 1,000 feet up? Or the horror of all those animals once they impact the concrete? Ugh. That's pretty morbid.
Karen Rosen takes common idioms and turns them into literal (and fun) illustrations. She even sells prints of them on her Etsy page, so you can own one of these and hang it on your wall. Whether you buy one or not makes no difference to us, but we thought you'd enjoy checking out these funny pictures for yourself.
