Beauty can be found in the most common of things. Take your backyard, for example. The plants and vegetation found right outside your backdoor could become your next art project.
Artist Nikolai Tolsty has an interesting take on this concept. Starting with a cutout of an animal on a piece of paper, he then uses the negative space on the page as a lens with vegetation in the background. By creatively shifting around placements, he's able to make these animals come alive in a truly beautiful way.
As a result, we've collected some of our favorites here. But feel free to check out his Instagram page, because it's packed with inspirational pictures.
