Martin de Porres, O.P. (December 9, 1579 – November 3, 1639), was a lay brother of the Dominican Order who was beatified in 1837 by Pope Gregory XVI and canonized in 1962 by Pope John XXIII. He is the patron saint of mixed-race people and all those seeking interracial harmony.
"Christ has no body now, but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks compassion into the world. Yours are the feet with which Christ walks to do good. Yours are the hands with which Christ blesses the world." ~ St. Teresa of Avila (1515–1582) of Spain.
Beautiful quote about when we need prayer. Although the quote is by Saint Francis de Sales, the picture is of Father Patrick Peyton, who prayed the rosary every day he possibly could and was known as "The Rosary Priest" for his dedication to promoting it. He also encouraged families to pray together because he believed "the family that prays together stays together" Beautiful: the family as the foundation of faith
